Canoeing @ Olympics

Beijing welcomed the world to the Games of the 29th Olympiad on August 8, 2008 with an Opening Ceremony.

Technique
Kayak K1 - Twin-bladed paddle is kept upright through gates to avoid touching. Kayakers compete sitting down allowing a narrower and shallower boat.
Kayak K2 - As K1 but tandem!
Canoe C1 - Canoeist kneel, which allows greater body movement, and use a single paddle.
Canoe C2 - As C1 but tandem!
